Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) password, or your Google account id if you sign in with Google.
• What you enter: groups, expenses, payments, personal bills, chat messages and receipt photos you attach.
• A push notification token for your phone, if you allow notifications.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data or show ads.
• We don't read your contacts, location or files.

Who can see your data

People in your groups see the group's expenses, payments and chat. Friends see expenses and payments you share with them. Nobody else.

Where it's stored

On our own servers, encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Push notifications pass through Expo and Google/Apple's notification services.

Deleting your data

Delete your account any time in the app (Account → Delete account) or on the web. Your name, email, password, personal bills, chat messages and notification tokens are deleted straight away. Expenses you shared with others stay in their history under "Deleted user" so their balances stay correct.
